Story - Trip to the Bank

Game Date: 8/22/2006
Location: San Francisco, California

Who: Amethyst (II)

Karalyn goes to the bank, shows her id to a teller and gives her the letter from the bank. The teller keys in the account number from the letter. She then picks up the phone and speaks to someone in Spanish. Karalyn hears her named mentioned while the teller is on the phone.

A gentleman comes over and introduces himself as Cesar Ortiz, the branch manager, and asks "Miss Nicholas, will you please accompany me to my office." Once at his office, Mr. Ortiz asks, "Miss Nicholas, would you like anything while I get the paperwork for her account."

Karalyn replies, "No thank you, I am fine."

A women comes into the office and the manager introduces her as Lila Kaminelli. He excuses himself and Ms. Kaminelli stays in the office with Karalyn.

The manager returns in a few minutes with a folder full of paperwork.

The documents he gives to Karalyn are mostly bank paperwork to confirm that she is who she says she is and that she was present at the bank when she signed the papers.

Once the papers are signed, Ms. Kaminelli notarizes them and provides a copy to Karalyn.

The last two documents are government forms, one to confirm that she is who she says she is and the other confirms her tax liability for the deposited money.

After the paperwork is signed, Mr. Ortiz gives her a letter. It is from Dieter and once again thanks her for the fantastic job she did on the case.

The branch manager then presents an account statement to Karalyn. She looks at the amount and almost falls off her chair. The statement indicates that there is $5,000,000.00 in the account.

Seeing her reaction, Mr. Ortiz asks, "Is there is something wrong, Miss Nicholas?"

"No sir, I was not expecting the deposit to be so much. Thank you for taking the time to help me with this matter," relies Karalyn.
