Story - Delta-Vee After Action Report 2

Game Date: 9/4/2006
Location: San Francisco, California

Who: Delta-Vee

E-mailed to the Knight and Amethyst:

Prime-a-Dona screwed us over again. Apparently, he took it upon himself to report to various government agencies as fact several things that he has speculated on or his personal delusional view of various recent events. This report or reports reached the FSS, which now considers us in violation of our sanctioning agreement with them. They have given us a list of actions to take to become in compliance with the agreement.

A discussion amongst Prime, Eon and myself ensued. I became frustrated by Prime and what is his normal delusional and self-serving behavior. In that frustration, I went ahead and fed into his latest delusional tangent. This appears to have led Prime to decide to vacate the Warden’s base as a residence.

As Prime was leaving he encountered the Knight, who was returning to the base to be informed of the FSS’s actions. For reasons best explained by him, the Knight detained Prime and requested that the rest of the Wardens come to their location. Further discussion of the FSS, Prime, and various other things ensued. A search of Prime’s luggage found that he was attempting to remove genetic samples given to him by Eon. The Knight decided to have Prime attempt to uncloak the supposed vessel discovered by the other Wardens a few weeks ago. (One of the items that the FSS is using as part of their case against the Wardens). The Knight contacted the FSS and had our liaison meet us at the site.

The site was reconnoitered. I did not see any sign of a cloaked vessel, but if I had, it wouldn’t have been properly cloaked. Prime projected energy that appeared to be the same energy that he has used for target practice in training at where the cloak vessel was alleged to be. Fearing that Prime was attacking something, I attempted to intercept the energy. I failed. When no noticeable effect other than the disappearance of the energy occurred, I made no further attempt to interfere with Prime’s actions.

This continued for several seconds, until energy came back out of the location Prime was irradiating. I was caught "flat footed" and failed to even attempt to take any action. Prime and a portion of the ground he was standing on disappeared.

Overall evaluation - I still question our decision not to take stronger measures with Prime in the past, and other issues discussed in the past. Also speaking with 20/20 hindsight, we should have taken better precautions when approaching the supposed cloaked vessel.

Personal evaluation - I needed to exercise more self-control and not even have engaged Prime at all after the meeting with the FSS’s representatives. Also, once again, I’ve proven to be at best ineffectual at the encounter with potential hostile situation. This further example of my impotence, is making me question my value to the Wardens.
