Story - Setting up a Meeting with Orlando
Game Date: 9/9/2006
Location: San Francisco, California
Email from Randy to Orlando Santini
I appreciate that you want to meet and discuss things before you come to the center. Unfortunately, any meetings at a public place would be a bad idea. I am a publicly known individual, and it is nearly impossible for me to disguise my appearance. I have gained a green glow since we met in Argentina.
If I may make a recommendation, Alcatraz is a common tourist attraction in the area. No one would think much of your doing an excursion out to it, even if they noticed you coming. Once you are here, Iím sure that we arrange for you to discretely enter the non-public area. If this works for you, please, e-mail me back with a day and time that would work for you.
Orlando's reply to Randy.
This would be fine with me.
I can visit the site on Tuesday, September 19 as I do not have any classes that day.
If this is not good for you, please propose another date that would work.
Randy again enters Security Chief Petrova's office. "Hi, its me again. I need your help with something." He hands her a picture of Orlando from the Wardenís files from the time spent with the Alta Verde children in Argentina. "This is Orlando. He is going to be coming to Alcatraz on September 19 as a tourist. I need to get him into a non-public conference room with minimal chance of him being observed doing so. Donít worry, Iím not going to try and take advantage of him. We just need to talk, without connecting him to me."
Petrova looks at the picture then pops it into a portable scanner terminal at her desk. She then returns the picture to Randy and says, "Have him take the cottage tour. We will observe on the security cameras and arrange for him to get away from the tour to the sub-level two conference room. Would this be okay with you?"
"Sounds perfect. Sorry, for being an inconvenience to you."
"No inconvenience, whatsoever. When one leads a very public life there is a need sometimes for privacy. I am glad to be of service," responds Petrova.
Randy e-mails the information to Orlando.
