Wedding Day - Interludes

Interludes: 49

A look at what happened behind the scenes during and after Session 49.

Interlude 49.901

Game Date: 8/25/2007

The lieutenant entered the office of the doctor.

Von Hausser sat in his chair with his eyes closed. His skin wrinkled and pale almost transparent. His hair matched the white of his wrinkled lab coat.

"Report," sounded the strong voice of the frail looking man.

The lieutenant cleared his throat and then spoke.

"We have received a report from Omega 5," stated the young man as he sat the packet of information on the doctor's desk.

The doctor leaned forward in his chair and picked up the packet then motioned for the lieutenant to leave.

The observing factions had been identified as La Sociedad Sangre, the Black Arion Movement and the Sisters of Orontea. Each seemed to have one or two observers keeping watch over the community center.

The doctor smiled it seemed several other groups had an interest in his experiment in San Francisco.

Now what to do about the snoopers?

Interlude 49.902

Game Date: 8/29/2007

The Order was too open, it was one of there weaknesses. Not only had they sent two paranormals to San Francisco, the pair had registered with the FSS with open credentials. They did not even try to hide what they were; it would be easy keeping up with Amber and Dot Dash.

Interlude 49.903

Game Date: 9/4/2007  -  9/23/2007

What was it that made these crazies think that because of two accidents of genetics that she would accept their offer to become the leader of their new little ladies and their "ladies are better than men" paranormal team. They didn't realize that the rhetoric no longer meant anything to her, if it ever really did.

She had told her students that so they would not question the robberies. It was all for a cause, young emotions are so easy to manipulate and point towards a cause.

If it had been all about womanhood and violence to show that they were not the weaker sex, why had they gotten rich and not hurt anyone in the process?

Not that the crazies would buy that, but it was what it was.

She had waited for a few weeks pretending to accept their offer then when her every move was no longer being monitored, she had walked away.

She knew that they would be after her but she also knew she could buy three years of safety with government protection by visiting a judge in San Francisco. This was the predicament she faced someone had tipped the crazies about the flight to Blanco Mesa.

Was the judge to be trusted or was she one of them?

Interlude 49.904

Game Date: 9/14/2007

Dras was no longer upset as the mage had finally established a pattern.

Taking trips away during the day, but always returning in the evening. Taking walks along the same path each evening then a return to the island.

She was exposing herself without the protection of the others.

It would be easy to take her now.

Interlude 49.905

Game Date: 9/19/2007

The supply ship was ten weeks overdue and the sensor ghost had returned. This time though it had not remained in the outer system, it was slowly proceeding towards Earth.

Narex was worried, it was clearly not a cloaked Yrician vessel or he would have not picked up any trace of it.

Through much analysis, his initial assessment of the situation was found to be true. It was not an Yrician vessel, the trace energy readings he was able to pick up from it were clearly not of Yrician origin.

At its rate of approach, it would be another 28 days before it reached Earth.

Narex knew he would have to make a decision about what to do before then.
