Downed Void

Allyson Michelle (Blue Rose), Tom Sawyer (Shockwave), Eve Smith (Shadow Tiger), Frank Flaherty (Silver Star), Dr. Arron Jenson (Volt), Horatio Eon, Juan Sanchez (Fuerte), Dutch Claiborne (John Battle), Mariah Hernandez (Star), Leif Thorssen (Thunder).

Tom calls Eve. He tells her that he is going to Washington, DC to check up on the "retirement" of the paranormals from the FSS. Tom tells Eve that he will be checking into a possible lead on her origin as well. Eve lets the rest of the group know that Tom is going out of town.

Eve and Blue Rose spend time discussing the group and its membership. With Dragon gone for who knows how long, Thunder at North Bay and Shockwave out of town, the Wardens' patrols are a little short handed. The two discuss the matter further with Horatio and Juan. They all decide to double their normal patrols until the other members return.

It took Arron three days before he could work up the nerve to board the tour boat to Alcatraz. Once aboard he hurried to the passenger cabin. Arron took a seat but there were windows all around so he was forced to look at the water. He kept asking one of the tour guides about the boat. Noting the scared look on Arron's face, the guide tried to calm him and offered him a life jacket. Arron turned down the life jacket but then took it as the guide had gone to the trouble of bringing it. The trip to the island seemed to take forever. Arron was one of the first off the boat and joined the tour heading towards the Wardens headquarters. He was touring the Alcatraz Foundation Memorial Museum thinking of how to approach the Wardens when he heard the alert siren. Armored shudders and doors closed around the museum before he could get an idea of what was going on. Arron headed to the bathroom. Once there he transformed to electricity and passed through the electric lines to th e rooftop. Arron saw that the top floor of one of the headquarters buildings had folded down to reveal a VTOL being readied for takeoff.

Eve looked up when Whitney announced the alarm. Kronian energy signatures detected at a research office park in South San Francisco. Eve muttered under her breath, just what they needed a major alert with everyone gone. She had Whitney relay the alert to North Bay and all communicators in the field. Since Horatio's flight pack was down again and the other airmobile Wardens were not nearby, Eve orders Jordan to ready the Pegasus.

Thunder and Frank with Mariah's help talk John Battle out of responding to the alert. Frank volunteers to help out, so Mariah gives Frank a combat helmet with communicator. Thunder heads south with Frank in tow.

Shadow Tiger, Fuerte and Horatio Eon board the Pegasus and heads south.

Arron seeing the VTOL leave finds a towel and wraps it around his head to conceal his identity. He then transforms to his electricity form and heads off in pursuit of the VTOL. He catches up to the Pegasus and is spotted by Fuerte. Fuerte tells Shadow Tiger and Horatio about their visitor. When Thunder catches up with the Pegasus, Arron speeds away to avoid a confrontation. He then resumes his pursuit from a much greater distance.

The Pegasus arrives at the scene of the alert. Horatio exits the plane and glides to the far end of the research office park. Fuerte grabs Shadow Tiger and jumps to the ground. Thunder sets Frank down and returns to the air. Blue Rose arrives on the scene and begins searching the area for sign of the Kronians.

Shadow Tiger locates a Kronian landing craft. With Blue Rose's help, she is able to catch and talk to two Kronians. The four of them manage to get to cover and avoid the back blast of the vehicle taking off. Frank locates a Kronian landing craft. He is searching for the occupants when he hears the sounds of combat. He sees two Kronians headed his way and intercepts them. They are sheltered from the back blast of the vehicle taking off by the concrete wall of a parking garage. Thunder captures three Kronians and calls in the FSS.

Arron lands at the research office park and starts looking around. He sees Void sneaking around and decides to follow him. Arron does not see the Kronian agents sneak up on him. Their firing at Arron alerts Void and he returns fire. Arron manages to escape the crossfire by transforming to his electricity form and going straight up at mach speed. The three agents go down while Aaron manages to down Void with a lightning bolt. A Kronian with pulse grenades attacks Void while he is down. Arron returns to the ground. The Kronian "beams out" to escape Arron just as Fuerte arrives upon the scene. Arron tries to help Fuerte attend to the injured Void and then flees before the other Wardens can arrive. The Pegasus is called in to transport the critically injured Void to the Wardens headquarters for medical attention.

The FSS arrives and takes the captured Kronians into custody.
