Christopher Hamilton, a.k.a. Brasidas
Christopher Hamilton was born on February 23, 1978 in Queens, New York. Chris was the only child of Harold Hamilton and Amela Casmirovic Hamilton.
Chris was a naturally gifted boy when it came to mental faculties and being a "speed merchant" as his friends used to say. He would win all the informal footraces that kids tend to have, and he taught himself to read at the age of two. His mother taught him how to play chess at three, and Chris found himself drawn to games of almost any sort. He also seemed to always be in the middle of organizing whatever activities the kids would do. Chris also gravitated to the leadership positions in sports: point guard in basketball, center midfielder in soccer, quarterback in football. He would talk to anyone at any time and the kind of guy everyone wanted as their best friend.
This would come in handy when his parents moved to Saint Augustine, Florida in 1988. Chris continued to excel at school and participating in sports in Florida. The football and soccer programs were better supported, but New York had better basketball programs. He also continued to do well socially, constantly being voted most popular and most athletic. Chris also began to take a interest in the great tacticians from History; Caesar, Hannibal, Alexander the Great, Henry II (Plantagenet), Justinian, Turrenne, Lee, Grant, Stuart, Stonewall Jackson, Winfield Scott, Clausewitz, and Sun Tzu.
In both New York and Saint Augustine, Chris had gotten close looks at criminals of both the paranormal and the ordinary street varieties. Chris didn't like what he saw and decided to do something about it. He wasn't a paranormal, but his friends would be darned if they knew the difference. So Chris took his natural talents and began to develop them to the limits of his abilities. Not paranormal? No problem! He would strike hard, strike fast and completely outthink and outclass his opposition. Chris put together a suit of armor and trained himself in the use of sword and spear. He took the name Brasidas after the famed Spartan commander of the Peloponnesian War.
